This concert focuses on musical dedications and on the 50th anniversary of the death of the Swiss composer Frank Martin. Martins Ouverture en hommage à Mozart draws a link to Mozart’s 41st Symphony. There is also a composition commissioned by the Berner Kammerorchester from Katharina Weber from Bern, À propos Frank Martin – eine Hommage with the same line-up as Frank Martin’s masterpiece Petite symphonie concertante for harp, harpsichord, piano and string orchestra.
