La Tempête draws us into the night, through the quiet days before Easter – where loss and hope lie close together. During the liturgy of the Triduum Sacrum – Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday – the Easter ritual is performed step by step.
Gregorian chants and Renaissance motets by Orlandus Lassus, Thomas Tallis and Cristóbal de Morales meet the serene sound world of Arvo Pärt and the double-choir Mass by Frank Martin. Two choirs move through the space, embrace the audience, and turn the music into an experience – a nocturnal journey of the soul in which times and styles merge.
