Frank Martin – Composer
(1890 – 1974)
(1890 – 1974)
The “Société Frank Martin” was founded on 10 March 1979 in Lausanne (Switzerland). It aims to keep the memory of the composer alive and to contribute to promote his oeuvre and his ideas.
The “Frank Martin Stichting”, the Dutch section of the “Société Frank Martin”, was founded on 17 November 1979 in Naarden (the Netherlands). Its aims and activities are the same as those of the “Société Frank Martin”.
A collection of CDs is available to its members at reduced prices. These CDs are only of performances of works by Frank Martin when the composer himself took part as pianist, conductor or adviser at the main rehearsals of a new work or a recording. Furthermore a collection of books about Frank Martin is available via the Société.
Members receive an annual bulletin containing information about the activities of the Committee, texts by Frank Martin and essays or articles about him.
